My phone isn't connected to the internet and doesn't have Google apps installed. Google Analytics is blocked at DNS level on my network.
The Steam site/client runs Google analytics and collects some fairly harmless data on hardware (I am not talking about the public survey) and game statistics which they use themselfs. If I cared about my location being hidden I would run a VPN, which I am not. These companies go to extremes to do targeted advertising, they are straight up stalking you. And they force you to login for no reason so they can link the data they mine to a person. It's about these companies which are datamining everything, you can be pretty sure Nvidia is selling this crap again to Google, Facebook etc. Who I am and where I live is public, I am a person and I have a name, there is no point in hiding this. I have websites hosted from my home network, it should take you a few minutes to figure out exactly where I live.
Same could be said about your cell phone or or even steam you have to login they know where you're at we use the internet they know where we're at unless you know how to ghost your self and have multiple IPS that show different locations It's not about knowing where I am.
